Funk band from Venice Beach, a suburb of Los Angeles, California. Founded in 1989 by members of Suicidal Tendencies: vocalist Mike Muir and bass player Robert Trujillo. The idea for Infectious Grooves came to them during the 1989 Suicidal Tendencies tour, where it turned out that both Mike and Robert are very fond of funky music: Mike's favorite performers since childhood were Parliament and Funkadelic, and Robert, before joining Suicidal Tendencies, played in funk bands.
