Born April 5, 1926 in Detroit. Received an engineering degree. Corman began his first steps in cinematography as a handyman at the 20th Century Fox film company, but after a short period of time he began to analyze the scenarios that came to the studio and could become the basis for the plot of the future film. He managed to participate directly in the process of creating the film at the age of 27 (as a screenwriter and producer). The beginning of his cinematic activity was laid by cooperation with the distribution company American Releasing Corporation, later renamed American International Pictures. The first film directed by him, released in 1954, was called "Monster from the Bottom of the Ocean" and was shot with a budget of 10 thousand dollars. However, the release included the name of a different director.
