Azerbaijani actor, People's Artist of the USSR (1961) .
He began his stage activity in the Azerbaijan Workers' Theater in 1927, from 1933 - an actor of the theater named after. M. Azizbekova. In the theater, Alekperov played mostly tragic and characteristic roles, his performance was marked by dramatic force, powerful temperament.
In 1929 he began acting in films.
