Soviet ballet and film artist Yevgenia Nikolaevna Ershova was born at the very end of 1925. She began to study classical dance at the age of seven, first in the studio at the Opera and Ballet Theater. TG Shevchenko in the city of Kiev, then entered the choreographic school.
In 1944, at the age of 19, she returned to the Opera and Ballet Theater as an artist. The ballerina performed the leading roles in almost all classical ballet productions of the theater, including The Nutcracker and Coppelia, Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty and many others. In addition, the main roles of Yevgenia Ershova included the national Ukrainian ballet repertoire: Marusya-Boguslavka, Mavka iz Lesnaya Pesnaya, Rostislava.
In 1955, Evgenia Ershova appeared in the cinema in a small role as a ballerina in a hospital in the film by Yakov Bazelyan Ways and Fates. In 1959, she starred in the first Ukrainian film-ballet Liley, where she played a serf girl in love with Stepan's boy and hiding from the prince's persecution. In 1960 Yevgenia Ershova was awarded the title of People's Artist of the Ukrainian Soviet Republic.
First a student, then a soloist, and since 1969 - a tutor for the same Kiev Opera and Ballet Theater. Then Evgenia Ershova moved to Moscow and became a teacher at a choreographic school. After that, for some time he worked as the head of the ballet theater at the committee of trade unions. In 1978-1981 he taught ballet art in Poland. After returning to Moscow, he worked as a tutor-teacher in various ensembles and collectives, until 1994.
In 1989, another film was released with Evgenia Ershova. In the Comedy about Lysestras, the ballerina played a cameo role.
The artist died in Moscow in the winter of 2009 at the age of 83.
