Rock singer, composer, theater and film actor.
Born April 23, 1957 in Moscow into a family of film workers. He graduated from the Gnessin State Medical University in the pop department in the saxophone class. Served in the Moscow association of musical ensembles, various philharmonic societies, Rosconcert. Permanent place of service until November 2007 - Moscow theater "LENKOM". Has been professionally engaged in music and composition since 1977. The first publication of author's music - cartoons by Efim Hamburg: "Dog in Boots" and "PARADOXES IN ROCK STYLE" (1980 "SOYUZMULTFILM"). The first publication of author's songs - flexible and vinyl minions of the Rock Atelier group in 1981. During the period of his creative activity he recorded, voiced roles, and also took part in more than 20 films, incl. "Paradoxes in the style of rock", "Mary Popins, bye!" "and many others. In 1987 he took part in the recording of the video for the song "Closing the Circle". Smeyan released three solo albums - "Apostle No. 1", "Pavel Smeyan" and "Actor and Song. Pavel Smeyan". The latest works are the recent rock opera on the libretto by Evgeny Yevtushenko "The White Snows Fall" and the author's modern two-act opera "Word and Deed", based on the novel "Prince Silver". Pavel Smeyan acted as a director, author of libretto, music, poetry, dialogues, as well as a producer during the creation of the opera. He also sounded the voice of the author, Basil the Blessed, the butler, the oprichnik, the voice and performed the piano parts. He passed away on July 10, 2009 from cancer in Germany, where he was undergoing treatment at one of the clinics. He was buried on July 23 in Moscow at the Khovanskoye cemetery (northern territory, plot number 297).
