Graduated from the Law Faculty of Novorossiysk University (1917) .
In 1917-1923 he worked in the study of the organization of labor. In 1923-1925 he collaborated in the editorial offices of "Kinogazeta" and the magazine "Soviet Screen". From that time on, he was mainly engaged in screenwriting. Has directed a number of films. During the Great Patriotic War, he was an editor in the front-line department of the Central Newsreel Studio. As a director and author of voice-overs, he participated in doc. films "On the issue of truce with Finland" and "Berlin" (1945). Later he wrote scripts mainly for popular science and documentary films: "First Wings" (1950), "On the Fields of the Kuban" (1954), "The Experience of One Collective Farm" and "Bouquet of Flowers" (1956), "Daughter of the Maly Theater" (1959) and others.
