Was born on January 25, 1921 in Moscow. Son of artist Mikhail Zharov. In 1948 he graduated from the Moscow Art Theater School (course of S.K. Blinnikov) .
Actor of the Leningrad Academic Theater of Comedy named after N.P. Akimov.
Honored Artist of the RSFSR.
He passed away on June 1, 1995. He was buried at the Bolsheokhtinskoye cemetery in St. Petersburg.
