Born in Sverdlovsk, in 1980 graduated from the Sverdlovsk Art School named after V. I.D.Shadra (theater and decoration department), from 1981 to 1986 - student of VGIK (animation department of the art faculty, workshop of V.V. Kurchevsky). Since 1985 - production designer of animation films at the Sverdlovsk film studio (worked in groups of directors O. L. Cherkasova, A.B. Karaev, V.P. Petkevich), since 1998 also director-animator. In 1997 he was a student of the Higher Courses for Scriptwriters and Directors (workshop of Yu.B. Norshtein).
Works in hand-drawn animation and transfer techniques. Art director of the screensaver for the TV show "Good Night, Kids!" (2000; director - Y.B. Norshtein).
Winner of many international and Russian animation festivals.
