Valentin Karavaev - biography, date of birth, place of birth, filmography, clips.
Born on August 29, 1929 in the Kirov region. In Moscow he graduated from art school and entered the courses of animators at the Soyuzmultfilm studio, which he graduated in 1959. After completing the courses, he began working for the Krokodil magazine. In 1968 he graduated from the faculty of directing animated films at VGIK, and began making films for Soyuzmultfilm. In 1969 his first picture was released - Santa Claus and Summer - which immediately received recognition and success. In 1995 he became the artistic director of the Animafilm studio at the Moscow Children's Fund.
