Was born on May 17, 1939.
Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1978). Studied at the Children's Art School No. 1 (1952-56), at the courses of animators at the Soyuzmultfilm studio (1956-59). He worked at Soyuzmultfilm (1958-2001). In 1992-96 he collaborated with the Christmas Films studio. He took part in the creation of more than 150 voluminous cartoons, and worked in the transfer technique. At the end of the 1960s, he improved the technology of filming puppet films: he created devices "thickness gauge" and "suspension", was one of the first to use foam models. He worked at film studios in Kiev, Minsk, Alma-Ata, Tbilisi, etc., directed the "Animated Film Workshop" at the Central Club of Film Amateurs (1973–84), and participated in advanced training courses for animators from the republics of the USSR. He taught at the courses for animators of puppet cinema at Soyuzmultfilm in 1979-80. In the 1990s, he worked on the board of the Soyuzmultfilm Film Studio, in 1996-99 - Chairman of the Board. Founder of the Soyuzmultfilm Association (1998), Chairman of the Association's Board (elected in 1998 for a term of 2 years, no re-elections took place). Since 1999 - Deputy Director of Federal State Unitary Enterprise "Film Studio" Soyuzmultfilm ". Member of ASIFA.
