1908 - 1988 - Soviet writer. Father of the translator Natalia Rakhmanova.
In 1924, Rakhmanov left for Leningrad, where he lived until his death in 1988. In 1926-1928 he studied at the Leningrad Electrotechnical Institute. In the late 1920s, he began to publish the first stories from his student life.
Member of the Writers' Union of the USSR.
In St. Petersburg, a memorial plaque was unveiled to Rakhmanov on house 1 along the embankment of the r. Fontanka.
