Born 1955, Mexico City - Mexican cinematographer.
At the age of 13 he became interested in photography and signed up for seminars held in high school. After school he studied at the National Autonomous University of Mexico at the Faculty of Sociology. He started his career shooting documentaries in Mexico, after which he decided to move to London, from which he soon left due to the rules limiting his chances of a job. He moved to Paris, where he was mentored by the cameraman Ricardo Aranovich. Since 1994 he has been living in the USA, becoming a member of the American Society of Cinematographers in 2000.
