Born July 12, 1969 - American television executive producer and television scriptwriter.
Kapinos moved from New York to California in the mid-1990s, joining the Los Angeles Creative Artists Agency as a script reader until Fox Studios acquired his first screenplay for Virgin Mary in 1999, assigning actress Jennifer Aniston to the main role. The film was never produced due to delays caused by rewriting the script and Aniston being busy filming Friends, but the creators of Dawson's Creek showed interest in the script and offered Kapinos a job that same year. Having started his television career in 1999 as a screenwriter, he became the executive producer of Dawson's Creek (which he said his work on the series was like four-year school camp, but was "forbidden delight for me"). Kapinos moved on to create his own series, Californication, where he served as both executive producer and head writer.
