Russian actor of Greek origin Euclid Kurdzidis was born on February 22, 1968. The geography of the places of residence of the future movie star was quite extensive: childhood passed first in a Greek settlement in the outback of the USSR, then the family moved to Georgia, Euclid graduated from the theater school while already in Dnepropetrovsk, and began to work in the theater in Lutsk. But soon Kurdzidis was drafted into the rocket forces, and they had to forget about the theater for two years. After the army, the actor got a job at the theater of Pyatigorsk, and in 1997 he graduated from the All-Russian State Institute of Cinematography (the famous VGIK). Euclid was released by the actor and teacher Anatoly Romashin.
While still a student at VGIK, Kurdzidis made his film debut: director Vladimir Motyl was looking for a small Greek role and approved the actor's candidacy without trial. After the release of Kurdzidis, they began to be invited to the roles of heroes of the eastern type, mainly negative characters. In Alexei Balabanov's tape Voina, Kurdzidis entered the image of an old Chechen shepherd so successfully that it was almost impossible to recognize him. A year later, an invitation to participate in an international project followed: the German-Belarusian film Babi Yar. According to the actor himself, sometimes it seemed to him that he really found himself in that time when the bloody tragedy was played out - everything was so natural.
However, such roles of Euclid Kurdzidis did not squeeze him within the framework of the role of a dramatic actor or an action hero. This was followed by comedies and TV series: Superfather for a loser, From 180 and above, Hero of our tribe, Russian Amazons-2, Balzac age, or All the men are free ... But at the same time, the actor did not forget about the theater. Even after graduating from VGIK, he played seven small roles in Hamlet directed by Peter Stein. Here, Kurdzidis's partners in the performance were such grandees as Mikhail Kozakov, Alexander Feklistov, Irina Kupchenko, Vladimir Etush. Later Euclid played in the musical Annie, the play Venice Night, and also in the production of Ladies` Night, or For Women Only. For the filming of the film Savages, the stage director of this performance Viktor Shamirov invited some of the actors from Ladies` Night, including Kurdzidis. Despite the high demand, the actor did not agree to participate in projects where his roles would be similar to his previous works. Perhaps that is why the films with the participation of Euclid Kurdzidis are distinguished by their diversity: in the actor's filmography there are dramas, action films, comedies, and historical films.
Euclid Kurdzidis has brown eyes, naturally dark hair, fair skin and thin lips. The shape of the face is oval, the forehead is high, the hair is straight, soft. Euclid Kurdzidis does not change hair color, preferring natural hair. The actor has a medium straight nose and a rectangular chin. The actor's height is 175 cm, no tattoos.
