Born on March 14, 1924 in Leninakan (now Gyumri). Armenian Soviet theater and film artist. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. During the Great Patriotic War, he fought as a senior sailor in the Red Banner Danube Flotilla. He was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War, II degree, the Red Star, Ushakov's medal, medals "For the capture of Budapest", "For the capture of Vienna", "For the liberation of Belgrade", "For the victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945." and others. In 1954 he graduated from the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography. Studied under F. Bogorodsky, I. Shpinel, Yu. Pimenov. Since 1954 he has participated in exhibitions. Since 1965, a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. Agoyan devoted his work to work in the field of artistic design of films at the Mosfilm film studio and other film studios in the country. He made creative trips to Central Asia, the Baltic states. He also worked in the genre of still life and landscape. The works are kept in the Leninakan branch of the State Art Gallery of Armenia. He died in 1992 in Moscow.
