The son of politician Williams Banks and sculptor Gretta Didrich Bader was born on December 24, 1966 in Alexandria, Virginia. The actor's great-grandfather was for some time mayor of Atlantic City, New Jersey. It is also known that the Bader family has German roots.
When Didrich was two years old, the family moved to Paris. And after a couple of years, the actor returned to his homeland to get an education. At first, the young man studied at Groveton High School and TC Williams High School in Alexandria. He studied acting at the University of the Arts of North Carolina.
In the late 1980s, Didrich decided to test his skills for the first time and starred in a small series. And although his role was small, and the series did not appear on television at all, the actor became seriously interested in acting and went to Los Angeles in search of new roles. Soon Bader got several cameo roles in the series Merry Company, Quantum Leap, Diagnosis: Murder and others, and already in 1993 Didrich got the main role in the television series Dangerous Theater. This was followed by a double role in the comedy series The Redneck from Beverly Hills - in which the actor played the twin brothers.
