Alexander Andreevich Blinov was born on March 28, 1938 in a village in Uduguchin, 60 km from the capital of Udmurtia. He got his start in life in 1955, after graduating from a vocational school in Izhevsk. At first, Alexander dreamed of the sky and, after graduating from glider courses in Izhevsk, passed the exams for admission to the flight school.
