A well-known Russian musician, composer, poet, producer and film actor Yuri Yulianovich Shevchuk hails from the Magadan region, where in 1957, on May 16, in the village of Yagodny, his life began. Yura's father was a military man, so the family often moved. Already at school, the boy showed a penchant for drawing. His concerts are banned. Only in 1987, Yuri managed to assemble a new composition of the DDT group, which very soon was able to find its audience. In cinema, Yuri Shevchuk first appeared in the musical film by P. Soldatenkov called Playing with the Unknowns (1988). Then there were films in the filming of which Shevchuk participated as a composer and vocalist: Publication (1988), Night of the Long Knives (1990), as well as documentaries I got this role (1986) and Rock (1987). Shevchuk played his first major film role in the film City (1990). Then the actor was invited to the main role in the mystical drama Spirits Day.
