Born in Alexandria, Virginia, he graduated from Frank Cox High School in Virginia Beach in 1996. He is a fan of horror and surfing movies.
In 2002, he starred in the French erotic film New Life, opposite Anna Mouglalis. In 2007, he starred in the horror film The Hitcher remake opposite Sophia Bush and Sean Bean. He also appeared in episodes of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Bones, and Dr. House.
From 2009 to 2010, he starred in the short-lived ABC series "Remember What Will Come", and currently plays a leading role in the comedy "Happy End" of the same channel.
