Studied theater directing at the University of Texas, after which he moved to New York to pursue his career.
He made his film debut as the director of an episode of the series "Tales of the Dark Side" (1988). Among his works are such series and films as "Monsters" (1989), "Golden Years" (1991), "Millennium" (1997-1998), "Sex and the City" (1999-2001), "The Sopranos" (1999 -2004), "Death of Superman" (2006), "Remember Me" (2010) and others.
