June 20, 1957, Ivanovo - September 20, 2002, Karmadon Gorge (North Ossetia) .
In 1979 he graduated from the Tula Pedagogical Institute, Faculty of Chemistry and Biology. He worked as a school teacher, graphic designer, stage worker in the theater. Until 1988 he lived in Tula, on August 30, 1988 he moved to Leningrad. Presumably died on September 20, 2002, together with the crew of the film "Messenger" (directed by Sergei Bodrov) as a result of the collapse of the Kolka glacier in the Karmadon Gorge of North Ossetia. Officially reported missing.
He led the Tula group of artists "August". After moving to Leningrad, he became a member of the Ostrov group. Had several personal and joint exhibitions with Alexander Kartashov in Tula, Moscow, St. Petersburg. The paintings are in private collections in Russia, Germany, Great Britain, Japan, USA. The first film work was “The Castle” (directed by Alexei Balabanov). He worked on such films as "Brother", "Checkpoint", "Peculiarities of National Fishing" and others.
