Maxim Maximov is the pseudonym of theatrical and pop actor Maxim Itsikovich Raikin, brother of the famous artist Arkady Raikin. He was born in Leningrad in 1927. Parents were extremely far from the theater: father is a port broker, mother is a housewife. The sons' hobby for theatrical art was not approved, except for his profession. The first teacher of Maxim in the creative studio was Vasily Merkuriev, People's Artist of the USSR. Then, despite the difficult war years, his alma mater became the Leningrad Institute of Theater, Music and Comedy, from which he graduated in 1950.
After graduating from the institute, Maxim Maksimov serves for two years at the Russian Drama Theater. Lermontov, then transferred to the Leningrad Theater of Miniatures, in which he remained until 1980. He began performing on the stage in 1961 under a pseudonym in the duet Maxim Maksimov - Vladimir Lyakhovitsky, moreover, he enthusiastically composes fables and miniatures himself. The roles of Maksim Maksimov in the cinema were small, but memorable, they were distinguished by lyricism, as well as humorous coloring. Together with his older brother Arkady, he starred in the popular lyric and satirical film People and Mannequins.
