Soviet actor Vladimir Kenigson, known for many theatrical and cinematic roles, was born in Simferopol in 1907. After graduating from the theater studio at the Simferopol Drama Theater, he began his acting career in the same troupe. Further, he worked on the stages of Kuibyshev, Dnepropetrovsk and other cities. From 1940 to 1949, the actor worked at the Chamber Theater at the invitation of its director A. Tairov. Later he played at the Maly Theater for many years.

In the post-war period, the film with Vladimir Koenigson The Fall of Berlin (1949) was very famous, in which he played General Krebs so convincingly that he received the Stalin Prize for it from the hands of Joseph Vissarionovich himself. In the 50s-80s of the 20th century, in addition to many roles in the theater, he was in demand in the cinema. The actor died in 1986, until the last year of his life he was in demand - he played both in the theater and in the cinema.
