Alexander Grave - biography, date of birth, place of birth, filmography, clips, Actor, Actor: Dubbing, Director.

September 8, 1920, Moscow - March 5, 2010, in the same place - Soviet and Russian theater and film actor, teacher.

In 1942 he graduated from the Theater School. BV Shchukin, course of AA Orochko, was accepted into the troupe of the Vakhtangov Theater and enrolled in the front-line brigade of the theater. As part of a brigade (later received the status of a branch of the theater), attached to the First Ukrainian Front, A.K. Grave went through the entire war, reaching Berlin. He was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War, 2nd degree, the Red Star.

A.K. Grave was always in demand at the Vakhtangov Theater, to which he remained faithful for more than 65 years. He has embodied more than 150 characters on the stage, including thanks to the ability to quickly "enter" the already running performances in case of illness of one of his colleagues.

The first significant role in the cinema - private Ogurtsov in the comedy "Troubled Economy" - provided Grave with the love of the audience for a long time, despite the fact that later the cinema did not indulge him with the main roles.

In the late 1940s, A.K. Grave first turned to theatrical pedagogy, but busyness in the theater's repertoire soon forced him to give up teaching. Grave returned to VTU im. Shchukin in 1986 as a teacher at the Department of Actor's Skills. He released two courses as an artistic director: in 1992 - the Komi-Perm national studio and in 2000 - an ordinary acting course (students - Yu. Kolokolnikov, N. Shvets, D. Belykh, L. Tikhomirova, K. Ivanchenko, etc.). He was one of the leading masters of the Shchukin Institute; professor (since 1998).

The high level of professional culture, genuine intelligence, soft irony and humor allowed A.K. Grave not to get lost among his "star" and younger colleagues - Yulia Borisova, Mikhail Ulyanov, Vladimir Etush, Yuri Yakovlev, Vasily Lanovoy - providing him with his own special niche in the theater. Until the last days of his life, A.K. Grave remained one of the main keepers of the true Vakhtangov theater culture.
