Soviet actor, director, screenwriter. Honored Artist of the RSFSR (12/16/1946).
A well-known comedian who played star roles in the films "Volga-Volga", "Girl with character", "Carnival night". Stage director of the popular films "Wedding in Malinovka" and "We met somewhere." Gruvemuvestart Andrei Tutyshkin entered the stage at the age of 17, while still a student at the Vakhtangov school. In parallel with the acting profession, he was always attracted by directing, so he performed his first productions on the stage of the theater, before entering the “wide” audience. In 1930 he graduated from school at the Moscow Theater named after Yev. Vakhtangov, worked there for over 20 years as an actor and director. He was the artistic director of the Leningrad Musical Comedy Theater, the chief director of the Leningrad Lenin Komsomol Theater. In the 1960s, he finally went into directing and directed such films as "Crazy Day", "Free Wind", "To the Black Sea", "Rat on a Tray", "How Toasts Are Born", "Shelmenko- batman ". He was the artistic director of the 1st Moscow Puppet Theater (1949-1950), the Leningrad Theater of Musical Comedy, the chief director of the Leningrad Theater named after the Lenin Komsomol. In the mid-1960s, Andrei Tutyshkin actually stopped acting, increasingly taking a place on the other side of the movie camera. Unfortunately, his work was not appreciated at its true worth. He did not receive high titles and awards, his name is not in almost any encyclopedia, and the director's work was mercilessly criticized by his contemporaries. Today they are the Golden Fund for Motion Picture Arts.
He was buried in Moscow at the Golovinskoye cemetery next to the grave of his father, Professor P.A. Tutyshkina.
