People's Artist of the Armenian SSR and People's Artist of Russia Gurgen Tonunts was born in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, on September 2, 1922. Gurgen's passion for acting woke up from his student years. So, the future artist combined his studies at the Murmansk Naval School with lessons in the theater studio.

Kamo, disregarding the dangers, carries out revolutionary activities both within the framework of the Russian Empire and far beyond its borders. The German authorities manage to capture him in Berlin and, after lengthy interrogations and torture, transfer him to the Russian government. The brave hero found a way to outwit the authorities and fled. This film ends with a personal meeting of Kamo with the leader and inspirer of the revolution, Vladimir Lenin.
Films with the participation of Gurgen Tonunets, which continued the development of this dramatic story, came out much later - in 1965 Stepan Kevorkov created the picture An Emergency Commission, and in 1973 the film The Last Feat of Kamo was released. All these films were united by the sharpness and extreme tension of the plot, as well as the inherent romanticization of the image of the main character.
