July 7, 1922, Gorny Balykley, Soviet Russia (Volgograd region, Russia) - May 2, 1993, Kalininets, Russia - Soviet Russian theater and film actor.
He spent his childhood in Gorny Balykley.
Studied at Stalingrad. In the factory Palace of Culture named after Lenin, he played the balalaika in an amateur string orchestra, and enrolled in a drama club.
In 1939 he entered the Kharkov Theater Institute (now the Kharkov National University of Arts named after I.P. Kotlyarevsky), where he studied only two courses - the war began. He was mobilized into a battalion, which was engaged in the construction of anti-tank barriers near Stalingrad. He was awarded the medal "For the Defense of Stalingrad" for transporting the wounded to the rear of the Battle of Stalingrad.
From 1941 to 1963 (with a break from 12/01/1941 to 03/01/1942, when he served in the Red Army) he worked at the Stalingrad Drama Theater. M. Gorky, where in 1947 he met his future wife Yulia Fridman.
In 1963 he moved to Moscow. In 1963-1964 he worked under a contract at the Mosfilm film studio.
In 1965-1993 he was an actor at the Film Actor's Studio Theater (now the State Film Actor's Theater).
In cinema since 1954. Popularity came in 1964 with the release of the movie "The Chairman". Since then, the actor has created a number of truly popular images.
In just forty years of work in cinema, he has appeared in more than seventy films.
Ivan Lapikov is a laureate of the USSR State Prize (1979). People's Artist of the USSR (1982).
