The first meeting with amateur theater took place in his school years, when he played in the school theater-studio in his hometown of Kiliya. According to recollections, Oleg saw his first professional performance the touring work "Wake up and Sing" performed by the Chisinau ensemble. The desire to become an actor caused disapproval from the parents, who predicted a completely different fate for their son. Before serving in the army, he managed to work at a shipyard (according to memories, it was not very successful), and after service he again returned to trying to enroll in an actor. He entered the theater university from the third time at the Kharkov Institute of Arts named after Kotlyarevsky (course of Alexander Bialiatsky), which he graduated in 1989. Graduates of the course who played the graduation performance "Mina Mazailo" almost the entire staff is admitted to the Kharkiv Academic Drama Theater named after TG Shevchenko (1987-1990).
In 1995-1996 he taught at the Ivan Kotlyarevsky Kharkiv Institute of Arts.
In July 1991, within the framework of the Slavic Pilgrim project, he completed an internship at the Jerzy Grotowski Work Center (Pontedera, Italy).
The actor was influenced by Jerzy Grotowski, Vladimir Kuchinsky, the work of Les Kurbas, Peter Brook, Hermann Hesse.
Director V. Kuchinsky, who attended the tour performance "Mina Mazailo", comes to the actor behind the scenes and makes an offer to work together and move to Lviv. He served at the Les Kurbas Lviv Youth Theater from 1990 to 1991, after which he returned to Kharkov for several years, and since 1996 he finally moved to Lviv at the Kurbas Theater, where he still plays.
