Valery Sergeev was born on August 9, 1952 in the small town of Khor of the Khabarovsk Territory. He studied at the Yaroslavl Theater School on a course with Sergei Romodanov. He performed in the troupe of the Volkonsky Theater, after which he decided to continue his education, for which he graduated from the Yaroslavl State Theater Institute. Returning later to his previous work on the stage of the Russian Academic Drama Theater named after Fyodor Volkov, he remained faithful to him for life. The last film with Valery Sergeev is the role of a lawyer in the popular TV series Big Game. He was awarded the title of People's Artist of the Russian Federation. He was also awarded the Fyodor Volkov regional prize for achievements in the field of theatrical art. Valery Sergeev died on September 19, 2007 from a heart attack during the theater tour in Togliatti.
