Born on August 4, 1926 in the family of the famous poet Stepan Shchipachev. The boy was given a creative education from childhood: he graduated from an art school for children with giftedness, then entered the Surikov Institute, a painting class, became a Member of the Union of Artists. He was successfully engaged in artistic activities, showing his work at various exhibitions, and reproductions of his paintings were published in magazines and caused admiration. Now his works are in art galleries in Russia, in particular, in the famous Tretyakov Gallery. Livy Shchipachev was a creative and versatile person, and, in addition to art, he was also actively involved in social activities and the Timurov movement. He was also an admirer of Arkady Gaidar, starred in films dedicated to the activities of the Timurovites.
Films with Livy Shchipachev are of great educational value, because they are dedicated to those brave guys who escaped the Spanish Communists and showed unprecedented courage, honesty and kindness. After Timur and his team and the Timur's Oath, taken in 1940 and 1942, such groups of “Timurovites” appeared throughout the USSR, who helped the elderly and children. Many talented and prominent people auditioned for the role of Timur, including Anton Tabakov, Yuri Yakovlev and even Gaidar's own son, the father of that very Timur, after whom he named the main character of the story. But the director of the film, Alexander Razumny, decided that the movie with Livy Shchipachev would be the most successful. The people who surrounded him said that Livy Shchipachev was a very hardworking, talented and versatile person, albeit a little withdrawn.
