The famous Soviet actor Vladimir Belokurov was born in July 1904 in the family of a village priest. He attended the Kazan gymnasium, and in 1918 he graduated from the theater department of the Higher Institute of Public Education, in the same place, in Kazan. He played at the local drama theater, debuting on stage as Lieutenant Dolgoruky in the play Paul I (by D. S. Merezhkovsky). He shone on the stage of the Kazan theater until 1924, until he moved to Moscow. In the fall of this year, he comes to the Theater of the Revolution (the current name is the Moscow Academic Theater named after Vladimir Mayakovsky), where he subsequently worked for 12 years, simultaneously trying himself as a teacher and film actor.

The first film with Vladimir Belokurov, released in 1932, was based on the novel by FM Dostoevsky and was called the Dead House. After the film debut, there was a slight lull in his career (then the actor left the Theater of the Revolution at the Moscow Art Theater), and he returned in 1941, hitting the public with his vivid role of Valery Chkalovo in the tape of the same name, and then, in 1944, the film Duel was released, in which Belokurov did I tried on the image of the main character.

In total, the actor has played in more than 50 films, he was great at leading characters, and he would be a master of cameo roles, bringing in them a special, his own flavor.
