Born June 6, 1957 in Moscow. He died on June 22, 2008 in Krasnodar. In 1980 he graduated from Moscow State University, Faculty of History (Department of History and Theory of Art). In 1989 he defended his Ph.D. in art history. He worked at the Pushkin Museum. A.S. Pushkin, Moscow.
Supervised a large number of exhibitions. Author of articles about Pavel Filonov, Francisco Infante, Nina Valetova, Alexander Elmer, Vladimir Nemukhin, Vladimir Yakovlev, Anatoly Zverev and other artists.
