Charles Perrault is one of the most famous French poets and critics of the era of classicism. The writer became famous for his collection "The Tales of Mother Goose". Little Charles was born into the family of the Paris Parliament on 01/12/1628. He was the smallest in the family, since his twin brother died at 6 months. All the children in the Perrault family had creative inclinations, for example, brother Claude became the famous architect who designed the eastern facade of the Louvre.

Trying to define himself in life, Charles enters the University College Beauvais. But realizing that this occupation was not for him, he gave up, and never finished. Soon, having bought a license, the future poet begins to work as a lawyer, which soon got tired of him too. Without a penny in his pocket, the young man works for his brother, Claude Perrault. Thanks to his friend Jean Colbet, Charles becomes the secretary of the newly formed Academy of Inscriptions and Fine Arts (1663). Also, the royal buildings were under the control of Perrault for some time. However, after Jean's death (1683), he lost his literary pension, and already in 1695 he said goodbye to the secretary place.

How many years Charles Perrault searched for himself, after all, back in 1953, his poem The Walls of Troy, or The Origin of Burlesque, was published. But, unfortunately (or fortunately), after the birth of his legendary tales, his early works were shelved. Also among the heritage of the author were creative acquisitions: The Age of Louis the Great, Dialogues Parallels between the ancients and the new. He ruined the canons of ancient ideals and said that the art of Louis was several steps ahead of the laws inherited for centuries. Soon, the world saw a collection of the Tales of Mother Goose, which have not lost their popularity today. The book was written based on folk tales. The work, consisting of 8 works, opened the door of the fairy tale to "high" literature and glorified the poet. It is said that the stories used by the writer were told by the nurse's son. The only exception was one - Rike-crest, which Charles invented himself.

The author's work influenced the development of literature and laid the foundation for the world tradition of fairy tales. Cinderella, Duke Bluebeard's Castle, Sleeping Beauty are fairy tales presented to the world by Perrault and have already become classics. The poet left the world on May 16, 1703 (Paris). Reading online Charles Perot will certainly be interesting to people of different ages, from toddlers to old people who have told their lives. His fairy tales are filled with kindness and wisdom, and his earlier works will help to understand the art of that time.
