Actor, writer, playwright, director.
His first significant publication was the poem "Greeting", published in 1966 in the magazine "Literatura un Maxla" ("Literature and Art"). Gaykins' first play, "The Legend of Kaupo", was staged at the Valmiera Theater in 1973.
Geykins has worked in the most famous theaters in Latvia and in the New York Latvian theater in the USA. He has written a number of historical and adventure novels, published a collection of plays, and has won numerous literary awards.
Buried at the Second Forest Cemetery in Riga.
