Nikifor Kolofidin was born in a small village in the Krasnoyarsk Territory in Ladanovka on March 2, 1902. The first work of Nikifor Grigorievich was a boiler-maker in Krasnoyarsk workshops. There, the actor showed his talent in amateur performances at various labor holidays. At the age of 26, Kolofidin became an actor in the Krasnoyarsk Theater, played in productions based on classical works, and was quite popular in the Far East. Theatrical works of Nikifor Grigorievich included the roles of Koshkin from "Yarovaya Love" by Konstantin Trenev, Alp Zykov from "Zykov" by Maxim Gorky, and even Othello from the play of the same name by Shakespeare. At the age of 44, the actor becomes an Honored Artist of the USSR. From 1937 to 1952 he was an actor at the Maxim Gorky Vladivostok Theater. In 1953 he moved to Moscow, where he begins work at the Central Theater of the Soviet Army. A year later, the first film with Nikifor Kolofidin was released - Dangerous Trails. In 1955 the actor played the role of Mr. Vlasov in Mark Donskoy's film Mother. At the 1956 Cannes Film Festival, the film was one of the contenders for the Palm, but lost the award to the Franco-Italian film Jacques Cousteau's Odyssey: Peace of Silence. 1958 turned out to be fruitful for Nikifor Grigorievich. The actor plays in three films: Walking the Three Seas, The Captain's Daughter, The Volunteers. In the movie, the roles of Nikifor Kolofidin have always been serious. He played strong-willed, strict men, responsible workers, incorruptible officials. His playing was characterized by such qualities as sharpness, accuracy, sometimes even gloom. But at the same time, in life the actor was quite good-natured, he loved sincere evenings and chatter. In 1997, the actor played his last role in the film And we had silence ... a year later, in May 1978, Nikifor Grigorievich died, at the age of 76. The actor was buried in Moscow at the Vagankovsky cemetery.
