Alexander Gorbatov, born on November 15, 1915 in the small village of Gorodishche, Moscow Region, is an actor, Honored Artist of the RSFSR, whose title he received in 1988.
Alexander Grigorievich grew up in a working-class family. He graduated from the Moscow Geological Prospecting Institute, from which he graduated in 1939 with a degree in Mining Engineer. For 6 years (1938-1944) he worked at the Geological Institute. In parallel with his work activity in the specialty, Alexander Gorbatov is studying at the course of the people's artist at the State Institute of Theater Arts, successfully completing it in 1944. After a long business trip he returned to Moscow, and in 1953 he began to work at the Konstantin Sergeevich Stanislavsky Theater, where he was invited by Mikhail Yanshin, People's Artist of the USSR.

The actor managed to take part in more than 50 performances, including theatrical performances based on the works of Maxim Gorky, Mikhail Bulgakov, Stefan Zweig, Franz Kafka, George Bernard Shaw and many others.
