Born December 14, 1938 in a small town in Lancashire in the family of actress Torah Heard and Jimmy Scott.
She began her acting career as a child and soon achieved success. Most famous was her role in the science fiction film “Day of the Triffids” (1962), where she played Karen Goodwin.
Janette was married three times. Her second husband was American singer Mel Torm from whom she gave birth to two children.
