Born in November 1904 in St. Petersburg in a merchant family. Honored Artist of the RSFSR. He and his brother changed her to Selyanin when they began to work in the theater, Ivan Semyonovich as an actor, and Mikhail Semyonovich as a director. He had no acting education. Artist of the Leningrad Lenin Komsomol Theater since 1936.
He passed away in 1976.
