Born June 25, 1879 in Siberia in the family of a political exile. He was an actor in the Moscow Maly Theater (1898-1901, 1925-1951). He also worked in the theaters of Kharkov (1900-1910, 1920-1922), Simferopol (1919-1920), Evpatoria, Sevastopol.
Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1937) .
He passed away on January 28, 1951 in Moscow.
