Born on August 16, 1933 in Alma-Ata.
In 1949-1952 he studied at the Saratov Naval Preparatory School, then at the Leningrad Higher Naval School named after the Lenin Komsomol.
In 1963 he graduated from the directing department of VGIK, workshop of Grigory Kozintsev.
Since 1962 - director of the Belarusfilm film studio.
Fiction and documentary filmmaker, scriptwriter for the documentary “Seeking an Opponent” (1980).
People's Artist of the Byelorussian SSR (1979).
Passed away on August 26, 1983.
