Born on December 25, 1893 in the village of Kovalikha, Cherkasy province. Passed away on August 18, 1982 in Kharkov. Studied at the medical faculty of the Kiev University. Graduated Kiev Music and Drama Institute named after N. Lysenko (1924). He was an actor in theaters in Kiev, Odessa, Kharkov. In 1926-1930 - director of the Odessa film studio of feature films. After 1946 - artistic director and director of the Drohobych Regional Music and Drama Theater. In the 1960s and 1970s - lecturer at the Kharkov Institute of Culture, Kharkov Theater Institute. Wife - actress V.F. Varetskaya.
