Born in Spanish Town, Jamaica, the son of a church preacher. Possessing the appearance of a model, Grace first worked on the catwalk. Having achieved results in this area and possessing musical data, she decided to become a singer.
The singer's musical career began in gay disco clubs in New York. Grace Jones skillfully relied on a homosexual image, which helped her make a dizzying career. She released her first album, Portfolio, in 1977. In 1981, the song "I've Seen That Face Before (Libertango)" from the album "Nightclubbing" became one of her most famous hits. Jones has released 10 studio albums and 40 singles in total.
In addition to her modeling and music career, Grace Jones also starred in 17 movies. The actress played mostly episodic roles.
