Sergei Kurilov - film and theater actor, Honored Artist of the RSFSR. The actor was born on October 6, 1914 in the city of Moscow. In 1932, Sergei was admitted to the theater school, in 1934 he graduated from the acting department. He intended to fully master the basics of acting at the theater school of the Moscow Art Theater, but in 1936 the educational institution ceased to exist. Sergei had to interrupt his studies and start working directly on the stage. From 1936 to 1941, the actor served in the Moscow Youth Theater, and with the outbreak of the war he was sent to Krasnoyarsk, where he continued to serve Melpomene on the stage of the local Pushkin Theater. Upon his return to Moscow in 1944 he worked at the Vakhtangov Theater, and later at the Satire Theater. In 1947 the actor got a job at the Film Actors Studio Theater. At the same time, the first film with Sergei Kurilov, Miklouho-Maclay, was released. The main male role in the film brought fame, and the fame of the actor quickly spread throughout the Soviet Union. The directors are attracted by the comedic and at the same time dramatic manner of Kurilov's acting; they increasingly invite him to play the main roles in their films. In 1965, Sergei, on the set of the film A Year as a Life, was embodied in the image of Heinrich Heine.
The last years of his life Kurilov was very ill. The actor rapidly developed a leg disease, which interfered with his acting career, and in 1983 Sergei Ivanovich left the cinema, and began to spend most of his free time in an art workshop. On January 11, 1987, the actor died.
