Born on October 8, 1909 in the village of Novo-Kharitonovo near Moscow.
In 1928 he graduated from the ceramic school, until 1933 he worked in his specialty.
In 1933-1937 he was an actor in the "Postroyka" studio, since 1937 - an actor in the Morflot Theater, then - in the 1st Kolkhoz Theater in Moscow.
During the Great Patriotic War - an actor in front-line theaters.
Since 1953 - an actor at the Film Actor's Theater-Studio in Moscow.
Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1953) .
He passed away on October 4, 1990 in Moscow. The actor was buried at the Khovanskoye cemetery (Northern Territory, plot number 214).
