Born on May 23, 1960 in the village. Netrebovka, Vinnytsia region, Ukraine In 1979 he graduated from the Chisinau Art School. He served in the army 1979 - 81. Graduated from the Faculty of Operators of VGIK in 1987 (workshop - Lobova, Nakhabtsev, Medynsky, Shatrov).
