Graduated from the Philological Faculty of Petrozavodsk University with a degree in Russian language and literature. Then Alexey Sidorov studies at the Higher Courses for Scriptwriters and Directors (workshop of V.D. Rubinchik), which he graduates in 1999.
In 2000, Aleksey Sidorov worked as an editing director for the film "Knight's Romance" (he is also a co-author of the script). The first major independent work in the cinema as a director - the multi-part television feature film "Brigade", which Alexei shoots according to his script, written in collaboration with Igor Porublyov and Alexander Veledinsky.
