American filmmaker of Israeli origin.
Florentine's career began with the short film Farewell, Terminator, his thesis. This film won a prize at the Mograbi Film Festival and was even nominated for an Oscar in 1988 in the category "Best Foreign Language Film" (although it did not take any place there). However, in Israel itself, the film has won awards for Best Directing, Editing, Cinematography, Costume Design, Production and Sound. Shortly thereafter, Florentine left for the United States, where he was mainly involved in filming Category B films for Nu Image.
Florentine is married and has four children.
