Honored Artist of the RSFSR Yuri Alexandrovich Kuzmenkov is a native of Moscow. The actor was born in 1941, on February 16, in a simple metropolitan family. His dad was a locksmith, and his mom worked as a hairdresser. After graduating from school, Yuri decided to study at a vocational school as a turner. Both at school and at the school, Kuzmenkov played with pleasure in an amateur theater, but he could not even dream of an actor's profession.
