Born November 9, 1967 in the family of the heir to the brewery Jonathan Guinness (eng.) Russian. (formerly known as Lord Moyne) and his second wife, Suzanne Lisney. Daphne Guinness spent her childhood in a bohemian setting. She loved to spend summer in Spain, in the house of Salvador Dali.
Youth passed in New York, surrounded by Andy Warhol and Ian Schrager.
In 1987, she married Spyros Niarcos (English) Russian, gave birth to three children: Nicholas (1989), Alexis (1991), Ines (1995). In 1999, after 12 years of marriage, they divorced (Guinness received ? 20 million in compensation).
The close relationship between Guinness and the married French intellectual Bernard-Henri Levy has become something of a public secret among most American observers since 2008. On July 13, 2010, Daphne Guinness confirmed this story to the British press. In the 2011 February issue of the American Harper's Bazaar, Guinness's friend and fashion writer Derek Blasberg quoted her description of Levy: "It is quite obvious that he is the love of my life."
