Owen is one of the three Hollywood Wilsons brothers, in addition to him - his siblings Luke and Andrew Wilson. He was born in Dallas, Texas. Owen's father is Robert Wilson (born in 1941), mother is Laura Wilson (born in 1939). His first steps in film and television did not cause much excitement. Career advancement was facilitated by meeting Ben Stiller, who becomes Wilson's friend and invites him to participate in almost all of his projects ("The Model Male", "Meet the Parents", "Slaughter Couple: Starsky and Hutch", "Night at the Museum").
